I also recently got my conditioner conundrum worked out. I had been using a Philosophy once-per-week deep conditioner, but they stopped making it in favor of a daily conditioner. Then I tried Organix shampoo and conditioner in teatree mint, which made my hair very dry and created lots of static (so much so that my hair stylist even noticed after a fresh wash at the salon). Thumbs down for that product from me! Two weeks ago I finally settled on the magic combo to make my hair soft and frizz-free: Trader Joe's store brand $1.99 shampoo and Aveda Rosemary Mint conditioner alternated with Bumble and Bumble Creme de Coco Masque. I love mixing splurges and steals don't you?

I've been busy this weekend finishing up the bridesmaid jewelry (see Thursday's post), setting up my outfits for wedding activities beginning with a bridesmaid dinner on Thursday, and prepping for a job interview tomorrow morning. (I'm sooo ready for this economy to perk back up already. The legal temping world is absolutely no fun at all . . . )
It's a cloudy and dreary day here in Massachusetts, I hope your Sunday has been sunnier than mine!

I just found your blog and I am excited to find a fellow New England blogger! Great blog :)
I agree with you on that shampoo & conditioner, it made my hair like straw! I have very thick, wavy hair.
It's raining here too :( (NH)
I love the Bumble and Bumble Creme de Coco mask! I am so tired of this gross New England weather!!
Welcome Cari! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Thanks for the tips! I will have to try the Aveda and Bumble and Bumble products. Sadly my Organix products aren't working out so well either. I can tell it's drying my hair out a bit. Oh well!
P.S. I have a jewelry question for you. I was making a necklace using chain and can't figure out the best way to open up a link. I was ripping it open with pliers. Is that correct?? It didn't seem like the right way!
That Bumble and Bumble hair masque looks great! Thanks for the recommendations :)
Hi Pink Tutu,
If the chain is made of loops that can be opened then a plier is fine, because then you can shut the loop again. A lot of chain though is made with closed loops (meaning it's a solid loop all the way around with no break) - then I usually use wire cutters to break the loop open.
Hope that makes sense!
I really, really need to force myself to get a new blowdryer. Perhaps this is the one for me?! And I'm thinking about trying some B&B products - probably different than yours though, as my hair is SUPER thin & mostly flat all the time, ha!
Piper, I put off buying a new blowdryer for a long time myself because I kept thinking I'd need to spend a $100 or so for a good one, but thankfully there are lots of bargains to be found at TJ Maxx!
