Filene's Basement always seems to have a rack or two lately of Vineyard Vines. With dreams of spring in my head, I decided to try on a few skirts and came home with this twill skirt in blue. It's super soft and comfy . . . it's also the perfect length as sometimes I find minis from other brands (like J Crew) too short on me.
The photo is from North River Outfitter's website, a great boutique for Vineyard Vines finds other than the actual Vineyard Vines stores. North River is a preppy clothing lover's dream, they carry a fabulous mix of clothing lines for men and women (Lilly Pulitzer, Jack Rogers, CK Bradley, Barbour, etc).
I've had my eye on an Elizabeth McKay Scotland dress, the navy blue version of which first caught my eye in the window of their Beacon Hill shop a couple months ago. Wouldn't this orange and white version be perfect for spring?

Love the skirt and the dress! Haven't been to Filenes in a while. Might be time for a trip!
The orange version is perfect for Spring! It's a great style and very flattering.
I need to check out Filene's Basement... I'm always too snotty to do that, which is stupid! I love NRO, buttttt they like NEVER have my sizes. I complain every time I go in to no avail :)
Elizabeth McKay is the best clothing line...I have a dress from last spring! xx
Oh my gosh, I love them both so much! That dress is adorable. Throw a ruffle on anything and I'm all over it, ha!
You have great taste, I love your choices.
:-)
Beantown Prepster: I know, I feel like all the Charles Street shops buy just 1 of every size and are always out of everything in a flash!
Town and Country Life: Thanks, you are too nice!
