Shopped til I dropped!

I had a lovely and exhausting weekend in New York City! The weather was beautiful and we crisscrossed the city to visit our favorite stores and neighborhoods. After a busy day at work today I am too tired to write a full recap, but I do want to share what I found at J Crew. The one in Rockefeller Center had a good-size sale section and luckily was open until 8pm on Saturday, so I was able to stop in just before they closed. This was the second time I've been to that particular J Crew and both times I was very impressed with the sale section - they had lots of marked-down styles in many sizes rather than just a few sad-looking items in random sizes. All too often I spot a gorgeous skirt or top on the sale rack only to see that there is only one and it is not remotely near my size!

This watercolor pencil skirt was on sale (I just posted about all of J Crew's pretty new skirts last week, so I was happy to find one style marked down already!)

Although I surely will not be pairing it with the dull green shirt shown but rather a pink or chocolate brown cardigan. I also bought a cute jersey knit dress with a ruffle collar and 3/4 sleeves that I can't seem to find a pic of online.

I will share some photos from the weekend later in the week. In the meantime, I am off to relax and hopefully catch up on some tv and blog reading.

I hope you all had a great start to your week today!

What a nice surprise to find your skirt! I agree it would look cute with a brighter top.
